After retiring as an RN several years ago, Lorale followed her passion to become an entertainer. Her interpretive style of singing standards and contemporary Jazz & Blues is very exciting to her; it has filled a deep need to communicate in a melodic and joyful way.
Influenced by many of the greatest singes, Billie Holiday, Diana Krall, Ella Fitzgerald and Adele, just to name a few.
Lorale has performed at the Halifax River Yacht Club, The Museum of Arts & Sciences, Cinematique Theatre, as well as, many private functions and weddings. She loves to perform and enjoys every moment of it.
"It is my vision to interpret and evoke emotion from the lyrics, offering a new perspective in collaboration with the song writer. There are times when I slow the tempo and speak softly, other times, I exaggerate a phrase or word, always pulling a fresh nuance from the composition. The songs I sing illicit many different emotions!"
